  • a Tissues were analyzed for CHIKV positive-strand RNA via RT-qPCR. Limit of detection was 100 CHIKV RNA copies/μg of RNA. Serum was analyzed for infectious virus via direct plaque assays. Limit of detection was 50 PFU/ml of serum.
