  • a Cell surface expression of HN was determined by flow cytometry. DF1 cells were infected with each virus at an MOI of 1. Surface expression of the HN proteins was assessed by flow cytometry at 18 h PI with a cocktail of NDV HN-specific MAbs followed by a fluorescein isothiocyanate-conjugated secondary antibody. Surface immunofluorescence was quantitated by fluorescence-activated cell sorter analysis with the FACSVantage flow cytometer (Becton Dickinson). Noninfected DF1 cells were used as negative controls. Values shown are averages of results from three independent experiments.
