  • a Results are expressed as PFU/milliliter at 24 h postinfection. Although the differences are not dramatic at this early time point (see Fig. 2), data from later time points are corrupted by the IFN effects on cell growth rates. Mean virus yields from two independent experiments are presented. Each titration was done in duplicate and allows plaques to be counted in wells of two to three dilutions to determine a standard deviation for the plaque count.
