Fluorescent in situ hybridization reveals rhEBV genomes in red and RRV genomes in green. Fine, punctate nuclear staining likely represents individual genomes in latent infection. Diffuse, intense staining is indicative of productive replicative infection. Nuclei are revealed in blue by DAPI (4`,6`-diamidino-2-phenylindole) staining.
