All Rights Reserved.): Human glioblastoma tumor cells were infected with a recombinant vesicular stomatitis virus (VSV) that expressed a VSV-G protein fused to a green fluorescent protein reporter in the plasma membrane. Calcein blue AM was used to label the cytoplasm of live cells, and dead cells were stained with the red-orange ethidium homodimer. VSV was one of nine replication-competent viruses tested that might selectively infect and destroy brain tumor cells. (See related article on page 6005.)
