Cover photograph (Copyright © 2003, American Society for Microbiology. All Rights Reserved.): Detection of infectious bursal disease virus (IBDV) type I tubules in insect cells. HighFive insect cells were infected with FB/Poly, a recombinant baculovirus expressing the IBDV polyprotein gene. Cells were analyzed by immunofluorescence with antisera against IBDV capsid proteins pVP2 (green) and VP3 (red). Nuclei were labeled with TO-PRO3 (blue). Superimposed is an electron microscope image of a negatively stained type I tubule isolated from FB/Poly-infected cells. (See related article in June 2003: vol. 77, no. 11, p. 6438.)
