Analysis of a Novel Strain of Murine Gammaherpesvirus Reveals a
Genomic Locus Important for Acute Pathogenesis

Volume 75, no. 11, p. 5315-5327, 2001: Not all the M1 mutants
described by Clambey et al. (E. T. Clambey, H. W. Virgin, and S. H. Speck, J. Virol. 74:1973-1984) contained the
cytomegalovirus promoter, and so this is unlikely to be the root of the
differences in reactivation seen between these mutants and murine
gammaherpesvirus 68.
