AUTHOR'S CORRECTION

Binding of Human Cytomegalovirus US2 to Major Histocompatibility Complex Class I and II Proteins Is Not Sufficient for Their Degradation

Mathieu S. Chevalier, Gwynn M. Daniels, and David C. Johnson

Department of Molecular Microbiology and Immunology, Oregon Health Sciences University, Portland, Oregon 97201

Volume 76, no. 16, p. 8265-8275, 2002. There has been an omission in the credit attribution for the N- and C-terminal mutants of US2. The design and DNA mutagenesis of N- and C-terminally truncated mutants of US2 was done by D. Tortorella and B. Gewurz in the laboratory of H. Ploegh (Harvard Medical School, Boston, Mass.).

Page 8266, Materials and Methods, paragraph 3, line 6. Insert "The design and DNA mutagenesis of the N- and C-terminally truncated mutants of US2 were performed in the laboratory of H. Ploegh by Domenico Tortorella and Benjamin Gewurz (Harvard Medical School, Boston, Mass.)."

Page 8274, Acknowledgments. The first sentence should read: "We are very grateful to Domenico Tortorella, Benjamin Gewurz, and Hidde Ploegh (Harvard Medical School, Boston. Mass.), who provided DNA for all of the truncated forms of US2 used in this study."
