Spontaneous Degradation of Reovirus Capsid into Subunits

ABSTRACT

When a plaque-purified strain of reovirus type 3 (Dearing strain) degraded during storage, electron micrographs of the degraded virion were made which clearly demonstrated the substructural components of the outer capsid.
