Ribonuclease Sensitivity of Semliki Forest Virus Nucleocapsids

ABSTRACT

Treatment of Semliki Forest virus nucleocapsids with pancreatic ribonuclease (1 µg/ml, 37 C) digests the ribonucleic acid to acid-soluble fragments; the nucleocapsid protein forms a rapidly sedimenting aggregate.
