Inhibition of Translation of Preformed lac Messenger Ribonucleic Acid by T4 Bacteriophage

ABSTRACT

Cells infected with bacteriophage T4 are unable to translate ß-galactosidase messenger ribonucleic acid which exists in the cell before infection, unless translation is underway at the time of infection.
